What I love most about Emmaus is its heart
Emmaus has given me a sense of purpose and I’m very grateful for the help I’ve had
I think of myself as the neutral one in the middle of the business and community
Emmaus is about solidarity and we want to encourage the community to come in and enjoy our books
I feel like part of the community and feel like I’m adding value when I’m here
I have been homeless three times since the age of 18
We’re all about getting people back on their feet, building up their self-esteem, and getting them back into work
I’m surrounded by such a supportive team at Emmaus Colchester
Emmaus has allowed me to build up my confidence and address my debts
Right from the start, I thought ‘this is for me’
Working at Emmaus is a dream come true - I am in vintage heaven!
There is hope for all of us... with the right help
Emmaus doesn't just give people somewhere to stay, it motivates them
Following the Government’s announcement this evening, all our stores will close with immediate effect until further notice.
Our community will continue to support formerly homeless people to rebuild their lives, and the wellbeing of our companions, staff, volunteers and local community will always be our priority.
We are really grateful for your support during this uncertain time and we will keep you updated with any further developments.
Stay safe everyone.
