For people who have experienced homelessness, often their self-esteem and confidence is hugely impacted. By gaining skills and practical work experience in our social enterprises they can begin to rebuild their lives and look beyond homelessness.
Our three shops sell preloved, second-hand furniture, homeware, fashion, toys, books and more. Each time you make a purchase in one of our city-centre charity shops or our online shop, you’re helping people who have faced homelessness in Colchester.
We run a range of professional property services including a removals enterprise, house clearances and a painting and decorating service. Whether you’re moving house, clearing a home or looking to refresh a space, Emmaus Colchester can help. Every booking gives the people we support the chance to contribute to the local community and provides them with a sense of purpose.
