Companions and staff at Emmaus North East boost skills with First Aid training
Emmaus North East invests in training and development opportunities that empower companions and staff
At Emmaus North East, we’re more than just a charity – we’re a community. We provide a safe home, tailored support and a fresh start for people who have experienced homelessness. Watch our video to learn more about how we’re transforming lives through solidarity, support and second chances.
Launched in early 2025, the Single Homelessness Accommodation Programme (SHAP) is a three-year programme run in partnership with Durham County Council. SHAP aims to provide supported housing and reduce instances of rough sleeping among single adults experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
We’re working together to help the people we support and our surrounding communities towards more sustainable futures. From our community home to our charity shops, it’s a big team effort to reduce our negative impact on the environment. Emmaus North East is the proud recipient of the Investors in the Environment (iiE) Silver level accreditation.
