We are excited to introduce our Community Activators Project, a meaningful initiative established by Emmaus North East with the aim of combatting loneliness and social exclusion. This project is dedicated to fostering a sense of community by bringing people together.

But what exactly does it entail to be a community activator?

Community Activators collaborate with Emmaus North East to address homelessness through volunteering in our social enterprises, including charity shops, a community launderette, and a wood workshop. Activators also contribute to our community house by assisting with tasks such as cooking and other domestic jobs.
