Do you have admin skills and knowledge, including using Microsoft Office and Excel, and want to use them to support our work? We are looking for someone to undertake a range of office admin tasks to assist us in the day to day running of the charity; this includes financial and business aspects as well as call handling.

We can provide support and training in developing your admin skills as part of this role.

Main Duties:

  • Call handling
  • Answering & resolving any customer enquiries or complaints via. email & landline
  • Arranging and booking deliveries & donations, including bulky waste, on our van schedule & system
  • Delivering great customer service representing Emmaus North Staffs by greeting & serving each customer on the phone and assisting them where needed
  • Helping with financial & business aspects, including filing and inputting data into spreadsheets and folders

Skills Required:

  • A positive & helpful attitude
  • Clear & good verbal communication
  • Great confidence on the phone
  • Ability to work effectively under continuing pressure and possible interruptions
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office and Excel

Experience Required:

  • No experience required
  • Experience in customer service, admin or call handling would be useful

Time Commitment:

  • Monday – Saturday, 9am-5pm
  • We ask our Retail Assistants to volunteer at least once a week
