Located on the lower-ground floor of the Potteries Shopping Centre (opposite New Look), our Emmaus charity shop specialises in quality second-hand clothing, retro & vintage fashion, shoes, books, music, film, bric-a-brac and various items of furniture for the home.

We’ve got women’s, men’s and childrenswear – so come and have a browse, without breaking the bank.

We also have a showroom area with brand new beds and white goods at discount prices; customers can browse the models on offer and then place an order for delivery in the local area.

Come have a look around, and maybe even have a play on our community piano, the only one in the whole City Centre!

How to donate items for us to resell

If you have any unwanted things, we would appreciate donations of items in resalable condition, including furniture, bric-a-brac, household goods, clothing, books, music, film and more. Due to limited storage at our Potteries Centre shop, we’d be grateful if all items could be dropped off at our Furniture & Home Charity Warehouse store, which is a 12-minute walk away on Josiah Wedgwood Street (ST1 5NT). As always, if your items are too big to fit in a car, we also offer a free furniture collection service in the local area.

How our charity shops help

Funds raised at our two charity shops and our eBay store, help Emmaus North Staffs continue to tackle furniture poverty in the local area. Each year our charity partners with local councils and housing associations to offer free items to more than 800 households who are without access to essential furniture and appliances. We also recently partnered with children’s bed charity Zarach in launching its new Stoke-on-Trent hub supporting vulnerable local families with beds in a continuation of our Beds for Kids initiative. We continue working on plans to provide accommodation in Stoke-on-Trent, for people experiencing homelessness.
