This Winter our Community Cafe, The Royal Oak will be open as a Warm Space for anyone that is trying to escape the cold and high energy bills.

We welcome anyone who is facing social isolation or wants a safe place to spend a few hours to come and visit us. There is no obligation to purchase anything you can just enjoy our cosy space. We have reduced our opening hours on a few of our stores including, The Royal Oak & Felixstowe this Winter due to rising energy bills. These cuts in hours mean that we can offer The Royal Oak as a warm space.

Claire Staddon, CEO of Emmaus Suffolk says “Our priority this winter is to be able to offer our services to as many people as possible including our hubs and food poverty scheme, One Pot Wonder. Closing the Royal Oak for an extra day will enable us to become a Warm Space for those facing the cold and social isolation. Anyone who is struggling to keep warm at home or needs a safe space is welcome to come to the Royal Oak whenever we are open”

Make sure you join us every Thursday for our Kids & Carers club open to all families and is a great space to meet new people and join in fun activities. All visitors are welcome to a free lunch afterwards too!

There are warm spaces across the county at different buildings all provided by friendly and welcoming teams – find you nearest space on the Rural Coffee Caravan website.
