Double the joy of giving, a great gift whilst helping others.

Leading up to Christmas, we’re encouraging shoppers to buy gifts with purpose for their loved ones, to help support vulnerable people in Suffolk and reduce waste.

You can shop our gift vouchers, re-usable travel coffee cups and tote bags on our shiny new website www.emmaussuffolk.com.

Our gift vouchers can be redeemed in our shops in Ipswich located in The Dales, Sailmakers Shopping Centre, The Royal Oak and our Homeware store on Dogshead Street as well as their shop in Great Eastern Square, Felixstowe.  Proceeds from all gifts go towards supporting socially isolated people and those at risk of homelessness in Suffolk.

Shoppers can purchase gift vouchers worth £15, £20, and £30 to be used in the charity’s retail shops, to find second-hand bargains and one-off pieces. Alternatively, you can give the gift of a good catch-up with charity’s Coffee & Cake and Meal for Two vouchers, redeemable at The Royal Oak.

Since we were founded in 2017, we have supported over 3813 people through our well-being hubs held in Felixstowe and Ipswich, supported housing, and food poverty schemes. Additionally, this Winter we are supporting those facing fuel poverty and struggling with the cost-of-living crisis by opening up our community café in Ipswich, The Royal Oak, as a warm space.

Claire Staddon, Chief Executive of Emmaus Suffolk says “This time of year your money can really make a difference, but we want you to benefit too through a gifting experience. The cost-of-living crisis is impacting us all, by buying a voucher or a gift from us – you can give a lovely gift and we can support more people.”

We’ve launched this Christmas appeal to counter excess waste that is produced during Christmas. Biffa reports that the UK produces 30% more waste around the festive season. We’re really passionate on sustainability our model is based on selling second-hand goods and we also sell zero-waste re-fillable products.

If you’re looking for a gift that will keep on giving the whole year round, check out our quarterly mini magazine, created by created by staff and volunteers who attend our well-being hubs, it includes art, recipes, stories, and poetry. The magazine can be purchased online via www.emmaussuffolk.com as a subscription.
