This weekend, our amazing Community Manager, Emma is running her first half marathon to raise money for our charity!
Emma took up running just 10 months ago and has previously walked the Orwell Challenge with companion Billy back in June, but this 13.1 miles will be the furthest Emma has ever run!
The Ipswich Half Marathon starts and ends at Portman Road Stadium – home to Ipswich Town FC and Emma will run through Ipswich Waterfront and then along Cliff Lane. Continuing around the River Orwell, you will head to Wherstead Road, back along Grafton Way before reaching the big finish at the stadium.
If you’re watching on the day – do look out for Emma!
Emma has chosen to raise money for our charity and support the work we’re doing in the local Ipswich Community. All the money that Emma raises will go straight back to support people through our wellbeing hubs, affordable food offer, supported accommodation and outreach volunteering services.
