Fancy trying your hand at woodwork?

We’re looking for a number of volunteers, known as Emmaus Activators, to join us in our workshop in South Shields.

You’d be volunteering in our workshop to support the upcycling/restoring of donated goods. Sustainability is key to the Emmaus movement and we love turning unusable items into something that can be loved again. You will also get the opportunity to learn new skills to help us make new goods for our shops, in which all proceeds from sales go back into our charity, helping us to tackle the issue of homelessness.

Why become an Emmaus Activator?

  • Learn new skills
  • Make new friends
  • Help your local community
  • Help to tackle the issue of homelessness

We’re launching a series of opening days where you can find out more about the Emmaus Activator project, dates include:

  • Wednesday 15th March
  • Thursday 23rd March
  • Thursday 6th April

To register interest, please e-mail [email protected] or call 0191 4899001 and ask to speak to the workshop.
