The Charity Super.Mkt is a concept for social and environmental good, where people can shop the best of charity retail all in one place and it launched in the former Top Shop store in Brent Cross Shopping Centre on Friday 27 January for four weeks.

To make it a success, we appealed for Hertfordshire residents to donate their pre-loved adults and children’s clothes to our stores and thanks to their fantastic support every garment being sold is helping fund our vital work supporting people who have experienced homelessness.

After two years of hosting outdoor market style pop-ups, Charity Super.Mkt took its retail charity concept to the next level by bringing disused high street premises back to life and bringing charities together in the former Top Shop store.

The organisation provides the destination, location, marketing, music and customers, while participating charities including Emmaus Hertfordshire and Greenwich, Shelter, All Aboard, TRAID and Cancer Research, provide the clothing and staff.

Gemma Beckett, Business Development Manager for Emmaus Hertfordshire said: “We’re so excited to be part of the UK’s first ever multi-charity shop in collaboration with a host of other great charities.

“It’s fantastic to be part of a trailblazing concept to transform empty retail premises and bring them back to life, while meeting the needs of the thriving charity retail sector and promoting a more sustainable, ethical and purposeful way of shopping.”
