Emmaus Hertfordshire collects donated furniture and white goods from across the county. Collections are free and items are sold through our second-hand furniture stores to fund the work we do supporting 39 formerly homeless people living and working in our community.

Our large Emmaus vans will collect your furniture on a morning/afternoon which you will have booked with your local Emmaus store.

Please contact your local Emmaus shop to arrange collection and be aware that we have certain criteria for items. Some shops have up to a two week wait for a collection slot. You can also submit a furniture collection form here

We have two time slots for deliveries/collections: 9.30am till 12.30pm and 1.00pm till 4.00pm. Unfortunately we will not be able to give you a more specific time than these slots but if you give us a contact number you can request a call from the driver when they are on the way to you.

Unfortunately, due to excess stock or restrictions on reselling, there are a number of items we are not currently accepting. Please visit Donate Goods – Hertfordshire (emmaus.org.uk) for more information.

House clearance service

House clearance service

Emmaus Hertfordshire offers an affordable house clearance service with a difference as all proceeds will be used to support people who have experienced homelessness.

We offer a full and partial house clearance service, covering the county of Hertfordshire and North London. We can also provide end-of-tenancy style cleans.

Emmaus aims to reuse much of what it collects, saving items from landfill whilst raising money to sustain our community home in St Albans which supports 39 people who have experienced homelessness and social exclusion.
