CLOSING DATE: Ongoing LOCATION: Emmaus Hertfordshire - St Albans TYPE: Volunteer role

Volunteers are an invaluable resource as they give us their time, dedication, skills and knowledge to support the work we do here at Emmaus Hertfordshire.  Our volunteers work alongside staff and companions in a number of roles, front line retail jobs through to training and support of our companions.  We have both public-facing and “behind-the-scenes” rolls available.

We can be flexible on the hours our volunteers work, and as well as helping to support a local charity, all volunteers receive lunch in our community and 20% off items in our shops.

We’re looking for a volunteer to come on board as our Volunteer Solidarity Packer who can help co-ordinate the collation of starter packs for people being rehoused.  The starter pack would focus on day-to-day items and complement the main furniture starter pack provided.  The bulk of the items would be sourced from donations made to Emmaus.  A sample list of starter pack items to be included is available.
