Volunteers are an invaluable resource as they give us their time, dedication, skills and knowledge to support the work we do here at Emmaus Hertfordshire. Our volunteers work alongside staff and companions in a number of roles, front line retail jobs through to training and support of our companions. We have both public-facing and “behind-the-scenes” rolls available.
We can be flexible on hours, and as well as helping to support a local charity, all volunteers receive lunch in our community and 20% off items in our shops.
We are looking for volunteer drivers and crew to support the work of our delivery, collections and house clearance teams.
- Work as part of our van crew on deliveries, collections or house clearances
- Drive Emmaus Hertfordshire vehicles in accordance with all relevant legislation
- Ensure all items being transported in the van are appropriately secured and wrapped to prevent damage in transit
- Determine whether items are suitable for resale and politely refuse unsuitable items
