Volunteers are an invaluable resource as they give us their time, dedication, skills and knowledge to support the work we do here at Emmaus Hertfordshire. Our volunteers work alongside staff and companions in a number of roles, front line retail jobs through to training and support of our companions. We have both public-facing and “behind-the-scenes” rolls available.
We can be flexible on the hours our volunteers work, and as well as helping to support a local charity, all volunteers receive lunch in our community and 20% off items in our shops.
We are looking for a DIY & General Maintenance Volunteer who is able and willing to support us in the necessary DIY and maintenance work involved in running a residential site and shops. From painting and decorating to handy man jobs we would be delighted to welcome anyone with some relevant experience who can work alongside our companions to make a difference.
