Join us at our St Albans Community on Saturday 9th July for a day of summer fun & celebrations. In 2022 we’re commemorating 20 years since Emmaus Hertfordshire first opened it’s doors, since then we have supported hundreds of formerly homeless people.

Head down to our Community site on Crosby Close between 11.30 am – 3.30pm and enjoy live music, food and drink, pop-up Vinyl sales and special offers in our charity shop. We’re excited to be offering tours of our community so you can see behind the scenes of our organisation and learn about what we get up to. A companion living in our Community House shared ahead of the event: “I’m really looking forward to showing people around my home, Emmaus is great and I think other people will see that too”

Emmaus Hertfordshire was first established in 2002 and was previously known as Emmaus St Albans when it was first created by a group of volunteers. Learn more about the history of our organisation here.

To celebrate 20 years of transforming lives, we are challenging groups, businesses and individuals to get involved in our £20 upcycling challenge. We will provide you with a piece of pre-loved furniture and a budget of just £20 to transform it! The furniture will then be sold in our charity shops with all proceeds going towards supporting our companions. Think you’ve got what it takes? Learn more about the challenge here

We’re really excited to welcome you to our community and celebrate the organisation, our Chief Executive, Duncan Lewis shares: “The fact that our 20th anniversary coincides with the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee means we have a fantastic opportunity to celebrate two great milestones at once and to showcase our work to our friends, neighbours, and supporters”. We look forward to seeing you soon!
