In light of current global events, we would like to reassure you that we are working hard to minimise the risk to everyone.
Here at Emmaus Colchester, the health and welfare of our companions, volunteers, staff and trustees, along with our supporters and customers is of utmost importance. We are paying close attention to updates from the Government and health professionals would like to reassure you that we’re putting measures in place to minimise the risk to everyone. These include:
- Increased cleaning rota with emphasis on high contact point areas
- Educating our team on personal hygiene and prevention
- Emphasising frequent and proper hand washing
- Creating more space around the tables at the New Life cafe
- New requirements for protective equipment, specifically disposable gloves.
All of our stores remain open as usual, and we will update you if this changes. To keep our community and customers safe we ask that anyone who may pose a health risk does not visit us until they’re feeling better and are out of a self-isolation period. If you’re feeling under the weather, have recently returned from an affected area or have been in contact with people who are ill, please do not visit Emmaus Colchester.
