Emmaus is where I have the best memories.
Volunteering has been hugely rewarding—mentally, I support and encourage companions, and physically, it keeps me active.
I moved to Emmaus South Wales in May 2023 after sofa surfing and living in hostels for 12 months.
I have really settled into life at the community. The support staff have been wonderful and I’m able to release emotions that have been trapped inside for years.
When I arrived, I was mentally and emotionally broken, but Emmaus welcomed me with open arms. Their support, kindness, and care helped me rebuild myself, bit by bit.
