“Its when each one of us waits for the other to make a start that nothing happens. Its when our neighbours, our colleagues and our friends see that we are acting that they will join us.”

Work with us

Work with us

Emmaus South Wales is special and we want those that work for us to be a little bit special too. We are passionate about and committed to what we do. We work hard and challenge ourselves to constantly go further and do more. In return we get to spend our time making a difference, day in and day out. What could be better than that?!

Emmaus South Wales provide ongoing learning and development opportunities for all our people. We are committed to diversity and inclusion.

If you share our values and ethos, are a problem solver, a good communicator, and can help us deliver our mission, we’d love to receive an application from you.

Volunteer with us

We couldn’t do what we do without our fantastic volunteers. Our volunteers fulfil vital roles for us throughout the charity and our enterprises and we are always ready to welcome new volunteers.

You will be working alongside companions and staff to support the work of Emmaus South Wales, giving you the opportunity to meet new people, develop new skills, gain experience, and contribute directly to the success of our charity.

Our volunteer base is diverse, and our volunteers come from all walks of life. All we ask is that our volunteers are able to make a regular and consistent commitment. How often and for how long you want to volunteer is up to you, but we ask for a minimum commitment of 4 hours per week for 3 months.

Become a trustee

Become a trustee

As a Charity we have a dedicated and passionate Board of Trustees who govern and set the strategic direction of the organisation.  The whole Board meets regularly and there are a number of sub-committees which meet both online and face to face with a particular focus. Trustees govern on a voluntary basis and do not get paid for the role. Trustees are expected to commit around a day per month in time to their role.

We aim for our Board to include knowledge and expertise across all aspects of the organisations work, including retail and enterprise, sustainability, finance and fundraising, property and facilities management, and influencing and campaigning. We’re always on the lookout for new people who would like to use their skills, experience and knowledge to support us.
