We’re super excited to announce our Walk of Kindness project! In 2024 at Emmaus we’re celebrating 70 years since our founder, Abbe Pierre’s Uprising of Kindess radio appeal and this Autumn we’re taking on an uprising of kindness of our own.

Our CEO Cecile and a group of companions will be walking the widest width of the country from St David’s in Wales back home to Ditchingham. The Walk of Kindness aims to bring the wider community together to get fit, get outside and raise money for our B&B Project.

In 2023 we began renovating the amazing 23 former nun’s cells (bedrooms) in the upstairs of the All Hallow’s Convent where our charity is based. The B&B will become a new social enterprise for our charity, diversifying our business and providing companions with a whole new set of skills in hospitality.

Every time a guest stays at our B&B they will be supporting our charity help more vulnerable people at risk of homelessness, by giving them a home and meaningful work opportunities. The annual income from one room will provide a homeless person a home in our community for one whole year!

However, we are a long way off making this project a reality and we need your support!
