Congratulations to Catering Manager Sue and to the team in the Old Orchard Cafe who have just scooped a 5* hygiene rating following an inspection last week by Broadland and South Norfolk District Council.
Scores are awarded in line with the Food Standards Agency Food Hygiene Rating Scheme Brand Standard for:
- compliance in hygienic practices during the storage and preparation of food
- structural compliance and
- confidence in the management of food safety
The hygiene standards found at the time of inspection were then rated on a scale. At the bottom of the scale is ‘0’ – this means urgent improvement is required. At the top of the scale is ‘5’ – this means the hygiene standards are very good.
So you can be assured that when you come to visit us at The Old Orchard Cafe for lunch or for a piece of cake, not only does the food taste AMAZING, it’s also been prepared in a safe and hygienic way.
