This December, The Grinch will ambush Emmaus Norfolk & Waveney, causing mischief and mayhem around our second-hand shop & Old Orchard Café as part of our month-long Christmas activities!

Visitors to our site will have the chance to meet the Grinch as he storms around the site every Saturday from the 3rd of December to the 17th of December. Families will have plenty of photo opportunities and children will also receive a gift from the Christmas-hating grump.

Following on from our charity’s successful Halloween activities, we are excited to host a Reindeer Trail around the historic grounds of our site every day from the 3rd of December. Children and families can explore and hunt for all nine of Father Christmas’ reindeer, to win a special treat from The Old Orchard Café. Visitors can also enter a raffle to win one of the reindeer in the trail, handcrafted by our volunteer Mark on site from upcycled wood.

Emmaus Norfolk & Waveney is the perfect Christmas day out. Our second-hand shop will be decked out and well stocked with everything you need for Christmas from decorations to secret-Santa gifts and extra crockery for a big family meal. You can also enjoy gingerbread lattes and mince pies from The Old Orchard Café.

Debbie Jackson, Marketing, Events & Communications Coordinator at Emmaus Norfolk & Waveney says “We’re so excited to welcome everyone to our site this Christmas, we just hope the Grinch doesn’t cause too much chaos! Our residents love seeing families visit the beautiful grounds and every visitor who comes to our site is helping to support people who have experienced homelessness to rebuild their lives.”

Debbie continues “Christmas is often a hard time of year for people who were previously homeless, so we want to support them as much as we can, anyone who shops, eats or just comes to our site helps us do that”.

Christmas activities at Emmaus Norfolk & Waveney will run from Saturday 3rd December through Saturday 17th December at Belsey Bridge, Ditchingham, NR35 2DT.
