Séamus Fox joined the Emmaus Norfolk & Waveney team as a member of our support team earlier this year, but before coming to work with us, he was himself an Emmaus companion.

After experiencing homelessness and alcoholism, Séamus joined Emmaus Colchester and then moved to live as part of the community at Emmaus Cambridge. During his five years with Emmaus Cambridge, Séamus travelled around to Emmaus communities to hear the stories of other companions who had also experienced homelessness. He was so moved by the stories he heard that he took these experiences and turned them into a fantastic book of thought-provoking poetry; No Homeless Problem and Other Poems.

We’d like to invite you to join us for An Evening With Séamus Fox on Monday 27th September at 6.30 pm. During the evening Séamus will read poems from his book, talk about some of the stories he heard from other companions during his visits to other communities and will share some of his very personal experiences of homelessness.

Tickets are £15 and include a Ploughman’s Supper. All money raised from the event will go back into supporting the work we do with formerly homeless people here at Emmaus Norfolk & Waveney.

To reserve your tickets, please email [email protected]. A member of the Emmaus Norfolk & Waveney team will be in contact with you by phone to take payment.
