Emmaus Norfolk & Waveney is proud to be an official supporter of Norwich Pride. Norwich Pride will take place on Saturday 31st July 2021 and will be a celebration of the LGBT+ community for everyone.
The vision of Norwich Pride is to ensure that Norwich is a city where everyone can feel safe and proud to be themselves. This is a vision we wholeheartedly support.
As an Official Supporter of Norwich Pride, we pledge that Emmaus Norfolk & Waveney will be a safe, welcoming, and friendly place for LGBT+ companions, volunteers, customers and staff.
We will visibly support and promote equality for LGBT+ people, challenge homophobic and transphobic behaviour, and have clear reporting mechanisms for harassment and discrimination.
We will ensure our staff are trained to understand the experiences of LGBT+ people and how to be a proactive ally.
We are also delighted to be part of The Norwich Rainbow Pride Trail running on Saturday 31st July and Sunday 1st August. Organised by Curious Pegasus the trail will see venues across the city displaying some of the stunning furniture designed specifically for the event. There are 34 venues in Norwich taking part and each will have a piece of rainbow furniture displayed so people can follow the rainbow trail.
