As part of celebrations of Emmaus’s 25th anniversary, we worked with Middlesex University to interview 25 people who had played an important role in the development of Emmaus in the UK. We also spoke to 15 current companions, many of them who had lived in more than one community, about their experiences of Emmaus and their hopes for the future.

We wanted to find out more about how Emmaus had developed, what lessons had been learned over the years and what the participants saw as the challenges and opportunities for the next quarter-centenary.
