Emmaus South Wales is a homelessness charity with a difference. We don’t just give people a bed for the night; we offer a home, meaningful work and a sense of belonging. We are a local charity, based in Bridgend but part of a National Federation and International Organisation.
Our Trustee Board meets monthly and is responsible for the strategic direction of the organisation, legal compliance, and financial oversight. We are particularly keen to secure a new board member with experience in Public and/or Corporate Fundraising.
With a long term strategy for growth, we are seeking a trustee experienced in developing and implementing fundraising activity including events, donations and legacies. We are keen to develop fundraising activity which involves staff, companions (those we support), volunteers and trustees and we see this as an opportunity to increase awareness of the charity as well as secure additional funds.
Person Specification
The successful applicant will have previous experience in raising funds from the public and corporate supporters, be able to inspire groups to engage in fundraising activities and be able to communicate at all levels.
This is an exciting role which adds another dimension to the charity helping support our companions to develop their future. You will be making a real difference by sharing your experience.
