We are delighted to announce that Emmaus South Wales has received a £2,000 donation from Utiligroup to go towards our work of supporting people who have experienced homelessness.

Utiligroup, an ESG company, is a market leading provider of innovative software and services to the energy and utilities industry. With an office in Bridgend, the donation to our charity has come from Utiligroup’s global ‘Give Back’ campaign to help local charities amid the pandemic.

Our Chief Executive, Jemma Wray, said:

“We are delighted that Emmaus South Wales has received this very generous donation to support our community and to help provide a home and daily support to people while they rebuild their lives following homelessness. Our business model generates the income we need to run our charity, however our shop closures during the first and second Welsh lockdown has resulted in the loss of valuable income. The donation from Utiligroup will help immensely with this shortfall and make a real difference to our charity during this very uncertain year. We are honoured to have been chosen to benefit from Utiligroup’s Give Back campaign.”

Utiligroup CEO, Matthew Hirst and the exec team recognise the struggle Covid-19 has caused locally and they want to support the charities through this difficult time. “As we grow our business, we want to support our local communities directly through our contributions and employment opportunities.  We’re pleased to make this contribution and look forward to expanding our community benefit further as part of our growth”.
