We’re very proud here at Emmaus South Wales to have been accredited with a Quality Mark by the Charity Excellence Framework, recognising our staff and volunteers for their hard work and providing evidence to funders and stakeholders of our commitment to excellence.
The assessment covered all areas of our organisation’s activity including: “Promoting good governance, effective strategy, leading and managing people well, effective delivery of operations, efficient use of finance and resources, maximising income generation and effective communications”, Charity Excellence website.
Achieving the Charity Excellence Quality Mark gives us access to thousands of practical ideas, guidance, policies, and templates and toolkits. The health check enables us to become a more effective charity, by automatically analysing our results and assessing the extent to which we are maximising our impact. It also assessed our impact, sustainability, legal compliance and how good we are at getting funding for our activities.
We hope that this Quality Mark will help Emmaus South Wales to connect with more organisations, to secure more funding, and ultimately to support and empower more people who have experienced homelessness.
