You’re invited to a special evening fashion show and sale within the Emmaus Mossley Secondhand Superstore. This charity event will include live music, a catwalk parade, and a big sale on all clothes, shoes and accessories.
Across the UK, we buy more clothes per person than any other country in Europe. Fast fashion remains a big issue but we’re starting to see more and more people cotton on to the benefits of being thrifty and shopping secondhand. Here at Emmaus, we receive lots of donations of quality clothing and are keen to showcase them at their best to encourage more people to shop more sustainably.
Catwalk for a cause
Emmaus Mossley supports people who have experienced homelessness by providing them with a home, companionship, tailored support and work opportunities. Our Emmaus Sustainable Fashion Show & Sale will build on the success of last year’s charity fashion event and all proceeds raised will go to support our charity and the people who live here.
The catwalk parade will include designer brands and hand-picked vintage garments for people of all shapes and sizes. Before and after the catwalk show, you’ll have the chance to rummage through Emmaus sale rails and the Boutique Emmaus area. Our charity store will be filled with quality fashion and affordable secondhand items for all ages and tastes. Drinks, cakes and other light bites will be available from Lucie’s Café.
The Emmaus Sustainable Fashion Show & Sale will take place on Thursday 23 May from 6pm – 8:30pm at Emmaus Mossley, Longlands Mill, Queen Street, Mossley, OL5 9AH. Tickets to the event are limited and priced at £3, available in advance from the main desk on the ground floor of our Secondhand Superstore.
