Our van is the lifeblood of our Hinckley-based homelessness charity, but after more than 10 years it’s spending more time in the garage than on the road. Every donation helps us support people to move on and rebuild their lives.
We want to express our sincere gratitude to The George and Dragon pub, Stoke Golding, for hosting a fantastic charity event.
Their ‘Summer Charity Afternoon‘ took place back in August 2023. Emmaus Leicestershire & Rutland was one of the chosen charities for this fundraising event.
A big thank you to The George and Dragon team for recently sharing a portion of the funds – an amazing £898.85. We were blown away when we found out how much was raised!
The event, held at the popular pub on Station Road, featured fun activities including a BBQ, refreshments, raffle, tombola, cakes, plants, crafts, live music, face painting, and traditional games. We appreciate the effort and enthusiasm that went into making it a memorable day.
