The Emmaus difference
Emmaus Leicestershire & Rutland is a homelessness charity offering active support to formerly homeless people and those at risk of homelessness.
We offer a home as well as meaningful work in our social enterprises; each person has their own room in our accommodation in Hinckley. People can stay as long as they wish and are offered opportunities to acquire skills as well as support when ready to move on.
Our charity provides a home and support to 16 people who have previously been homeless or experienced social exclusion. It is imperative we do all we can to keep them safe and to keep a roof over their heads. The current situation poses a significant risk to us and a donation from you will help us to continue this vital work during the current COVID-19 crisis and beyond.

“I want to spread the word and let people know about the fantastic work Emmaus does. They’ve changed my life.”
Lyn, Emmaus volunteer
“When I first visited the Emporium shop in Hinckley I was amazed at how big it was and how much stuff was in there. I had never really been much of a charity shop shopper but this really blew me away.”
Mark, currently being supported by Emmaus
“They don’t care about your past here, all they care about is helping us to have a fresh start.”
