The Portland Cup is an annual football tournament that has been hosted for the last 2 years by Emmaus St Albans. With St Albans unable to accommodate the tournament this year we took the opportunity to host it. Emmaus Communities from Salford, Merseyside, Lambeth, Leeds, Mossley and our own Hull and East Riding teams took part alongside a special team from Aunt Bessies.
Aunt Bessies were the champions in the end with all Emmaus communities giving the best they had despite the ridiculously hot weather.
The match was filmed by Peter Fleming who is part of the Hull City Supporters Trust and also who kindly sponsored the football kit for Emmaus Hull & East Riding.
We retreated back to the Emmaus Hull community for BBQ and celebrations.
A great day had by all and we hope to introduce our own annual football tournament next year.
