Emmaus Hull & East Riding provides a range of services which contribute to our charity’s mission of supporting people who experience homelessness and social exclusion.
We offer homelessness support at our residential community – The Orchard – and through our rough sleeper outreach service. To sustain the support we offer to people at our community and who are street homeless, Emmaus Hull & East Riding operates a diverse social enterprise with charity shops and other connected services.
In addition to our homelessness support and social enterprise services, Emmaus Hull & East Riding is also engaged in acts of solidarity. Members of our community regularly undertake projects and initiatives to help those in greater need.
The Orchard, our purpose-built community building, is home for up to 30 formerly homeless people. We help people to work their way out of homelessness, providing a home, meaningful work, training and person-centred support.
Through our homeless outreach service, we also offer direct support to people who are street homeless.
The Emmaus Hull & East Riding social enterprise is based on the collection, processing and sale of second-hand and surplus goods. From our Hull charity shops, we offer a wide range of great value items – from vintage and antique furniture to bargain clothes and bric-a-brac.
