Emmaus Outreach Van Appeal

Your help is needed to raise funds toward the purchase of a new van for our Emmaus Hull & East Riding Outreach team.

Emmaus Hull & East Riding provides a home, training, work opportunities and individual support to people who have experienced homelessness. In addition, we deliver a homeless outreach service, offering direct support to people who are street homeless.

Our Outreach team is taking part in a year-long challenge to raise funds to put towards a new Outreach van. This vehicle is used each day and is essential to our work in the East Riding, assisting people who are sleeping rough to achieve the life they are capable of and deserve.

The fundraising challenge is a 500-mile walk, to be completed between the team of three throughout the year. This will work out at a combined total of 1,143,200 steps! Please donate today to help us reach our target and keep our Outreach team on the road.

Appeal Update – 30 April 2024

Over the past fortnight, both of our Outreach vans have broken beyond repair and we simply do not have the funds to buy replacement vans at the present time. This leaves us needing at least one van as soon as possible to ensure we can continue reaching people in need across the East Riding.

Any help you can offer, either in the interim or in finding permanent replacements, would be greatly appreciated. Our Outreach team ideally need an MPV, crew-van or combi-van and we’re appealing to individuals, local businesses, fleet hire companies or anyone with a spare van for help at this challenging time.
