We want to say a big thank you to colleagues from Bunzl Cleaning & Hygiene Supplies who recently spent a day volunteering with us at Emmaus Coventry & Warwickshire. Their help made a real difference.
One of our important tasks is delivering food and essential items to Coventry food banks. With more people needing help these days, we regularly drive around with a van full of supplies to reach those who need them most. The Bunzl volunteers joined in with enthusiasm, making the process smoother.
They helped distribute some of the 1,000 food parcels that were put together during Bunzl’s conference a few weeks ago, with help from 200 colleagues.
In the afternoon, the volunteers lent a hand at our Emmaus charity shop on Red Lane in Coventry. They helped with steaming and sorting clothes, ready for the shop floor. They also took the time to chat with our companions – people who are supported by our homelessness charity.
