We are different to other homelessness services. Our Coventry-based charity doesn’t just provide a bed for the night; we offer a home, support and work opportunities.
We can accommodate up to 17 adults who are at risk of, or have experienced, homelessness. We provide meals, basic clothing, and toiletries, all within a secure environment with a support team on hand.
The people we support are known as companions; they actively contribute to daily life here. They might help in our charity shop, assist with furniture or food collections, or contribute to household tasks.
Companions live in our accommodation in Coventry called the Old Vicarage, on Brinklow Road in the Binley area. We have 17 single bedrooms, several shared living spaces and a large garden area. Watch a video tour of the Old Vicarage.
There’s no time limit – some people stay for a short while and others need a bit longer until they are ready to get back on their feet. We support people to move on when they feel ready to do so.
If you’re homeless (or about to become homeless) and are interested in joining our community, please reach out to us. While we often have a waiting list, we consider each person on an individual basis.
We also take referrals from homelessness agencies, probation services, healthcare professionals, on behalf of individuals. We’re always ready to provide referral packs, give tours, or discuss over the phone.
Our success depends on creating and maintaining a stable community. Before anyone is accepted, we conduct detailed assessments to understand individual needs and risks. We do welcome those with complex issues, provided our community can offer them the necessary support.
