Our Resettlement Support Fund offers people moving into permanent homes a ‘starter park’ of furniture and essentials, all free of charge to ease the pressures of furnishing and equipping a new home.

Sophie said the BBC Oxford team had seen our recent post on social media, asking for ‘spring clean’ donations of household essentials to make this work possible, and was keen to share how listeners could help.

Laura explained that we’re currently asking for donations of white goods such as cookers, washing machines and fridges or freezers, in good working order. We’re also appealing for furniture such as beds, desks, chests of drawers, wardrobes and bookcases, as well as other basic essentials such as cutlery, crockery and curtains.

Donations can be dropped off at our Barns Road store in Cowley during opening hours. Alternatively, if you would like to support Emmaus Oxford financially, you can donate here.

We’re inviting all organisations supporting people out of homelessness across Oxfordshire to apply for this support. You can find out more about the Resettlement Support Fund and make an application here.
