Trustee job description
To utilise his/her personal skills, experience and knowledge to help lead the community in its provision of services.
The Trustee is expected to be an active and contributing member of the Board, ensuring compliance in all areas of legislation, policy and procedure and setting the strategic direction of the Community.
Our Board comprises skilled individuals who provide guidance and strategic direction as a full Board and within various sub-committees and specialisms. Trustees with a wide range of skills and experience are needed to ensure we retain a diverse Board.
Trustees with knowledge and skills within the areas of training, personal development, education and finding employment are particularly welcome.

In addition to the above, each Trustee should use any specific skills, knowledge or experience he or she has to help the Board of Trustees reach sound decisions. This may involve:
Time Commitment
Trustee Board Meetings are held roughly every six weeks on a mutually convenient evening from 6pm to 8.30pm at the community.
There are also ad-hoc meetings and an annual AGM which Trustees are expected to attend. Where a Trustee takes on additional responsibilities, they should make themselves available to fulfil these duties and meet the needs of the Community.
