We are delighted to welcome our new Fundraising Manager, Laura Bristow, to the Emmaus Oxford community.

Laura has accrued over 20 years’ experience working as a fundraiser for a host of brilliant Oxford charities including the Radcliffe Medical Foundation, Sobell House Hospice Charity, Daybreak Dementia, Leys Community Development Initiative and Footsteps Foundation.

Laura first found out about Emmaus Oxford after hearing our previous Fundraising Manager, Hannah Hutchings, speak at a webinar given by the Oxfordshire Community Foundation (Hannah is now our Community Manager).

She said: “I thought what a great charity to work for and I then looked on the website to find out more and saw the Fundraising Manager post advertised, but with the deadline of the following day! Luckily I managed to send my application just in time!

“It is great to be joining Emmaus Oxford at this exciting time with the house refurbishment and all the other new projects. I am a big fan of the store and now I know there is an eBay shop too I think I will become a bit of an Emmaus Shopaholic!”

Outside of work Laura likes to run in the beautiful Oxfordshire countryside with her dog and spend time in the garden with her two pet ducks.

We wish Laura every success in her exciting new role!
