Emmaus Merseyside is inviting supporters to its annual Emmaus Christmas Fair in Seaforth.

On Sunday 1 December, the Emmaus Merseyside Charity Superstore will host a special Christmas sale that will include festive bargains for the home, decorations, real Christmas trees, secret Santa gifts, stocking fillers, winter clothing and much more. The event will also welcome guest appearances from characters, Olaf and Princess Anna, from the Frozen film.

Eddie, a member of the Emmaus Merseyside community, said: “I am looking forward to the Christmas Fair as we get lots of our regular customers and new customers too. It looks like a winter wonderland. It’s hard to get everything ready but it’s all worth it in the end and everyone has fun.”

Emmaus Merseyside supports formerly homeless people by providing a stable home and meaningful work for as long as they need it. The charity runs four social enterprises in Merseyside, taking in and selling donated and refurbished furniture, household goods, bric-a-brac and vintage pieces, and operating a house clearance service.

Honora Crisp, Business Manager of Emmaus Merseyside, said: “We’re encouraging all of our supporters and the local community to kick-start Christmas at Emmaus. Attendees will be able to have some festive fun, source unique items and support our local charity.

“All proceeds from this charity event will go to support the Emmaus Merseyside community, providing fresh opportunities to people who have experienced homelessness.”

The Emmaus Christmas Fair will also include a selection of stalls, workshops, crafts, music, seasonal refreshments and a visit from Santa. The event will take place on Sunday 1 December, 12-4pm, at the Emmaus Merseyside Charity Superstore, 38 Sandy Road, Seaforth, Sefton, L21 3TW.
