We’d like to thank everyone who turned up this weekend for our Charity Skydive.

Unfortunately, the British weather conspired against us and only one of the 24 kind people scheduled to jump to raise funds for Emmaus Leicestershire & Rutland, was able to do so.

So, congratulations to Sarah Sherwin (pictured) who completed her jump first thing in the morning (before the weather turned) and has so far raised over £550 for us (if you’d like to help raise that wonderful total even higher, here’s Sarah’s Justgiving page link).

It’s not bad news though: everyone who was due to jump but wasn’t able to, will be booked in for a new date later this year.

So keep your eyes peeled and we’ll report back here, as more intrepid volunteers jump out of a plane for Emmaus, at Langar Airfield near Nottingham.

Many of our future skydivers work for Cadent. Cadent is the UK’s largest gas distribution network and is currently partnering to support Emmaus across the UK, in many different ways. We’ve welcomed many Cadent colleagues on volunteer days helping out around our Emporium charity shop, and now we’ll see them once again, but on a very different type of day!

The team at Cadent have also set up a special JustGiving page to raise sponsorship; please click to donate and help us raise as much as possible.
