New area crafting now open inside our Emporium shop in Hinckley
Do you love crafts, sewing or knitting? Need upcycling supplies?
Our massive Emporium shop is the largest charity shop in Hinckley, raising vital funds for Emmaus Leicestershire & Rutland. We’ve now opened a Craft and Upcycling Corner inside: a fabulous treasure trove of crafting, sewing and knitting supplies, all promoting reuse and at bargain prices.
Open Monday to Saturday: 9am – 4.30pm at Stockwell Head, Hinckley LE10 1RG.
Huge thanks to our volunteers Jane Grice and Margaret Parker who are leading on the Craft & Upcycling Corner project. They have a great passion for reuse – promoting ways to avoid textile (and other) waste. They do an amazing job keeping the new Crafts area well stocked. This sometimes involves cutting up damaged or unsaleable donations to harvest the good fabric, which is made into craft packs and lengths of fabric. They also sort through all the supplies that are donated, and keep them well packaged and displayed neatly, so our customers can find exactly what they need.
