We’re celebrating the first anniversary of the second-hand clothing Boutique, located inside our Emporium on Stockwell Head, Hinckley.

In the year since its opening in 2022, our 3000 sq. ft. Boutique store has raised £28,000 for Emmaus Leicestershire & Rutland, through sales of preloved clothing and accessories.

We’re thrilled that in just twelve months, the Boutique has helped raise such a significant amount for our homelessness charity. Our Emporium shop has always been incredibly popular with customers looking for furniture and household goods; it’s been great to see so many people browsing preloved clothing, shoes and accessories too. Thanks to everyone for their support.

Emmaus Leicestershire & Rutland offers people who have experienced homelessness a safe home for as long as they need it, alongside day-to-day support, training, and the opportunity to gain new skills and work experience.

We’re currently raising funds to reach our longer-term goal of converting a vacant property next to the Emporium into new accommodation for the people it supports.

Over the past year, it’s been heart-warming to see so many people shop and donate items for resale in our Boutique. We hope that our local community will continue to support us and help raise the money to build bedrooms and living spaces next door. This means that in future we’ll be able to offer a home and support to many more people who have experienced homelessness.

The Boutique in the Emmaus Emporium on Stockwell Head is open Monday to Saturday: 9am – 4.30pm.

Any donated items can be dropped off during opening hours and we also offer a free collection service for furniture and larger goods.
