This Volunteers’ Week (1 – 7 June) our Coventry homelessness charity is taking a moment to thank our volunteers and also call on local people to join the team.

The Emmaus charity shop on Red Lane in Coventry specialises in selling second-hand furniture and household items. Our wonderful volunteers regularly give up their time to help us run the shop, including serving customers and sorting donated items for sale.

Homelessness is a problem that’s sadly not going away, especially in the current financial climate. The Emmaus Coventry & Warwickshire shop raises vital funds which help us make sure that those who’ve been homeless are given the best possible chance at turning their lives around. Emmaus Coventry & Warwickshire supports people who have experienced homelessness by giving them a home, meaningful work and the opportunity to regain lost self-esteem and rebuild their lives.

Volunteers are a really valued part of the shop team and we hope that more local people will come forward. We welcome people from all walks from life, whether they are students, retirees or indeed anyone who has some time to spare.

Anyone interested in volunteering can get in touch us by emailing [email protected] or call us on 024 7666 1466.
