Parking in the top field, bees swarmed around my car, ran away and got attacked by Chaos, the cockerel (Companion Steve’s pet). Arrived at the office, hair a complete mess and bleeding ankle from the bites from Chaos! All before a day’s work!
What is your favourite section of the shop/Community?
The café, it’s amazing!
What does solidarity mean to you?
Helping those less fortunate than ourselves.
Name one celebrity you would like to sit down and have dinner with?
Rob Brydon (he is hilarious)
What does a typical day at Emmaus Cambridge involve for you?
No day is ever typical!

What is the strangest item in the shop that you have come across?
Unboxed (previously loved) sexual toy
What do you feel most grateful for?
My family and health
What’s the one thing you’ve always wanted to do in your life, if you’ve done it how did it make you feel and if not then why not?
Snorkel in the ocean (huge fear of sharks). Felt scared but adrenaline rush to face fears
What has been your greatest accomplishment so far?
My feral children growing into amazing adults!
What do you value most in a friendship?
Loyalty and fun
How do you feel about your friendship with fellow staff/ trustees at Emmaus Cambridge?
We are like a family, we may not always agree but always there for each other
What’s your favourite hobby?
Walking the dogs and watching them play wildly with sticks

After lockdown what do you hope to have learnt about yourself that maybe you were not aware of before?
To make the most my free time and not be consumed with work and housework!

A great place that offers stability and friendship. Being surrounded by people that are constantly striving to improve their lives and the lives of others.
