We were lucky to be blessed with sunshine (in between the odd shower!) at our Arts and Crafts Family Fun Day held on Saturday 12 August.

Rescheduled from 22 July, due to torrential rain, our open day was held in our community in School Lane, from 11am to 3pm, and featured a wealth of craft stalls and activities for all the family.

As well as a bouncy castle, ice-creams and a variety of arts and crafts sellers, there was also a lively drumming workshop and visitors could browse a selection of children’s clothing, as well as toys and games on sale in the community chapel.

Nick Samuels, Emmaus Village Carlton’s interim Chief Executive said: “Our Arts and Crafts Family Fun Day was a huge success and we had lots of visitors making the most of the sunshine and our wonderful grounds here in our community.

“Thanks to everyone who came along and supported us during the day, either visiting or hosting a stall. Every penny made supports our vital work ending homelessness for vulnerable people and providing them with a home, employment and a brighter future.”
