Safeguarding is everybody’s business

It means protecting an adult’s right to live in safety, free from abuse and neglect.

The aims of adult safeguarding are to:

  • Prevent harm and reduce the risk of abuse or neglect of adults
  • Safeguard adults in a way that supports them in making choices and having control over their lives
  • Provide information and support in accessible ways to ensure that all adults understand how to stay safe and how to raise a concern if they have a concern
  • Ensure that people are listened to when they raise a concern and appropriate action is taken

The wellbeing and safety of our community; staff, companions, volunteers and our visitors is our main concern.

We adopt a zero tolerance stance on the abuse, neglect or discrimination of any person, but particularly people at risk or in vulnerable situations.

If you have any safeguarding concerns whilst visiting us, please do not hesitate to speak to a member of staff.
