We’re excited that a tranquil corner of our grounds at Emmaus Village Carlton is being transformed into a Willow Garden, a quiet space for our companions.

Being outdoors is so beneficial for our mental wellbeing – the fresh air, vitamin D from the sunshine and being at one with nature – all positive boosts to our mental and physical health.

With this in mind, our companion Rob is designing the Willow Garden to develop this unused but beautiful space into an outdoor retreat for our companions.

The garden will include seating and undercover spaces and will be used for reflection and complementary therapies such as meditation and yoga.

Pictured in the garden before the renovation are staff members Steve and Andy who are looking forward to seeing the garden’s transformation. It has been so named after its beautiful weeping willow tree, a focal point of the area.

Watch this space for an update when the garden is complete!
