Karl, one of our formerly homeless people we support, is taking on his own walking challenge for Emmaus Village Carlton.
On Wednesday 5 January 2022, Karl will be setting off on a 14 mile walk around the villages and countryside near our site in Carlton, Bedfordshire. His efforts will be to raise vital funds for our homelessness charity.

Speaking about his plans, Karl said: “I have lived at Emmaus Village Carlton for just over a year, and the support that I receive here from staff, volunteers and other companions has helped me greatly.
“During the recent pandemic, we had to close our shops and this had an impact on our income. During this time, the support was still there and without this, it could have been a really rough time, due to the worries around Covid.
“I am hoping that raising some funds for Emmaus Village Carlton will help with the income that has been lost over the last 18 months.”
