This means that if you live near us, you can join Co-op for £1 and choose our charity as your Local Cause. Then, each time you buy selected Co-op branded products and services, they’ll automatically donate 2p for every pound to Emmaus Village Carlton.

Co-op members can also select their cause by downloading the Co-op App. When you log in to your Membership account, you’ll see a list of causes you can choose from; if you live near to Emmaus Village Carlton, we’ll appear in that list.
Our Co-op Local Community Fund project: raising money for a dedicated Mental Health Worker
All money raised through this scheme will help us get closer to employing/accessing a dedicated Mental Health Worker to provide mental health assessments and coordinate the signposting/accessing of local mental health services.
Emmaus Village Carlton supports up to 42 formerly homeless adults, helping them to regain their sense of purpose and connection to others by providing accommodation and work within our social enterprise, a commercial setting where new skills and training can be provided. We provide a friendly and supported community that people can call home, feel connected and can positively get back on track with their lives.
Mental health is a huge issue within our community and prevents some individuals from moving on successfully. We provide a safe and supported home and workplace but sometimes have great difficulty in accessing mental health services in a timely way. We feel the only way forward is to employ or pay for a Mental Health Worker directly.
